The Apolonia is one of the designs available in our Turkish Gypsy Collection. Made in top quality chiffon and embroidered with sari metallic thread, this style costume was first developed by We3 in 1999 and manufactured in India in 2001 for the first time. The concept of Indian embroidery in Turkish gypsy costumes is another one of We3's unique fusion of styles and elements from various cultures.
By adding a wide band of metallic tissue around the hemline, we hoped to make this the focus in this design to accentuate motion. The skirt is amazing during spins. The almost blinding sheen of the metallic tissue band combines with the dynamic motion of this dance to create a mesmerizing effect on the audience. The complete skirt is covered with our signature vine motif which rises from the band towards the hips.
1. The skirt will fit from a 30" up to a 50" hip and is available in petite 31" long; in junior 33" long, in women's which is 36" long and in tall which is 39" long. Let us know when you send payment the size you desire. If payment is via Paypal, please include a note with your payment.
2. The veil in this set is a full 3 yards by 42" and is decorated at each end with the same motif as the hemline of the skirt.
3. You may choose either the long sleeved one-piece choli or the bolero/ghawazee top combination.
A. The choli's bodice is fully embroidered. The design matches that of the skirt tying the costume together. The front of the vest is heavily embroidered with the vine-like design which has become the We3 signature look. The back has a motif in the center and is surrounded by vine embroidery covering most of the fabric. This is an extremely rich look. The vest is further decorated by a wide band along the midriff and by a thinner one outlining the edges of the vest. A stunning piece! Closure with velcro. It may be adjusted to fit a smaller size. The 3/4 sleeves end in a matching tissue band which is followed by a stunning butterfly cuff. Available in s/m to fit up to a 40" bust; l/xl to fit up to a 44" bust and in xxl/xxxl to fit up to a 48" bust. Please let us know the size of the vest along with the skirt length.
B. The second choice is the beautiful bolero we introduced in 2003 paired with a same color chiffon ghawazee top. The sleeveless bolero is fully embroidered to match the skirt and has the same motif as the choli on the back.
