Our Mission

We design all our costumes..The distinctive look of our costumes has come to be known as the WE3 look! WE3 takes pride in its original designs which employ the styles, embroideries and overall elegance of India. We struggled for 2 years to get the right color, the right design, the right embroidery style for each costume. We have worked closely with our manufacturers to create this look. The unsurpassed quality of the materials used as well as the craftmanship applied are without compare. We, as a team, are here to provide you, the dancer, the best costumes at the best prices!

We were the first to create a line of beautiful, high quality costumes for beginners as well as professionals at affordable prices. We didn't stop there! Our goal is to continue to improve!!!

Our History

Our goal was to bring affordable, beautiful costumes to everyone, and for us to have a business that fascinated us! Anyone who was dancing prior to 1998 knows that this was a new concept at the time. Most costumes were made in Egypt or Turkey for professional dancers and there was very little available for the rest of us. Always fascinated by exotic India, we decided to create our line based on the Indian look, using Indian embroideries and trims. We were not aware at the time, that this was an original idea. Many new vendors have joined us on eBay since those first days, selling their own merchandise, so now you have an even greater variety to chose from.

We will continue to bring you the classical designer WE3 look with new creations in all belly dance styles.

About Our Company

We are a mother and daughters business based in the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area. We started our business right here on eBay in April of 1999 and were the first vendors to create and design our own costumes. All 3 of us have a background in dance: folkloric, ballet, modern, and jazz. In 1993 we discovered that belly dance was a dance that spoke to all 3 of us. We have been hooked since! Though eBay will always be close to our hearts, we have expanded to wholesaling around the world and making our online presence more visible. We have come a long way since our first days at eBay!

We have all felt the butterflies in our stomachs before a performance. The thrill afterwards, the disappointment when we felt we could have done better. We all know that no matter how good we get to be, there is always room for improvement.. more to learn in this beautiful dance.
Scimitars, veils, floorwork, isolations, the scary shamadan! Then the different styles: folkloric, tribal , cabaret, new age..not to mention the different styles from country to country! What incredible variety! What incredible fun!

Our Business Ethic

We believe that for a business to be truly successful, everyone touched by it must prosper. In our contracts with our manufacturers, we specify that working conditions for those involved in the making of WE3 bellydance costumes must meet standards set by The United Nations' Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, Articles 7 and 10.
